If you contacted us, these are the checks we'd guide you through first. They solve most problems, so start here before going deeper.
Quick checks
Make sure the eSIM is correctly configured before moving on.
1. Be in the destination country
The eSIM activates automatically when it connects to the local network.
2. Make sure the eSIM is ON
Go to Settings → Mobile Data / SIMs → select the eSIM → turn it ON.
3. Confirm the correct SIM/line is selected for data
Go to Settings → Mobile Data / SIMs → Mobile Data → select the eSIM. Some phones switch back to the physical SIM automatically, so it's worth checking even if you set this before.
4. Turn Data Roaming ON for the eSIM
Go to Settings → Mobile Data / SIMs → select the eSIM → Data Roaming ON.
5. Check remaining data
A used-up allowance looks identical to a connection problem. Tap My eSIM in your order email → scroll down → Check Usage. (Usage can be up to 1 hour behind.)
Common fixes
These are the fixes that usually get things working again.
1. Turn Airplane Mode on/off (10 seconds)
Helps the phone refresh and search for available networks again.
2. Restart the phone
Clears the connection and lets the phone reconnect from scratch.
3. Choose network manually
Automatic selection may pick a network with signal but no data. Try selecting another network manually.
4. Check or reset the APN
Wrong APN shows signal but no internet. Common in Turkey, Japan, and Morocco (but not limited to these). See the APN Setup Guide.

If you've done all 5 checks and all 4 fixes
If it's still not connecting, contact us and let us know you've completed these steps so we don't repeat anything. It might be the eSIM itself - rare, but it can happen. We'll help you sort it out.
If your issue is different
If you're seeing something more specific, or you want to check other possible causes, the guides below may help you find the exact problem faster:
- Connection Problems - if the eSIM installs but won't connect
- Installation Issues - if the eSIM won't install or the QR won't scan
- Error Messages - if your phone shows a specific error code or alert
